Science meets design
Conception, design, and editorial writing of a design-science magazine. The magazine ‘frame’ offers content from the fields of design and science in visually appealing form. This magazine is the result of a outstanding collaboration of Media Designers. During this production of frame, my focus lied on managing the project milestones and timeline, while influencing the core design principles and producing own content for this publication.
One personal highlight was to interview the South African product designer and lecturer for visual communication Corbin Raymond on the topic of his design practices reflecting on the heritage of Bauhaus design practices. Additionally, I traveled to Weimar, Germany to deepen my knowledge about the Bauhaus school with its design and way of thinking, as well as document the institution in photos for the magazine.
Concise
The design concept is functional and simple. It follows the guiding principle of the Bauhaus school ‘form follows function’.
Colorful
Vibrant yellow and blue graphic elements accent the black-and-white design of the magazine.
